This Titanium tube is part of the ASU (Air Start Unit) of an Antonov AN-124.
The connection to the tube was worn out and had to be replaced with a donor connection.
To preserve the material properties of Titanium, the material was thoroughly cleaned and welded in our purge chamber.
As a result, the Titanium ASU tube will last for many more years, and the Antonov can take to the air again.
